In October, sold 10 acres leasehold to Gray for 10s to construct a 2 storey house adjascent to their farm known as Gray’s store (Place No. 50), built by convict labour. Also donated land for first schoolroom (April 1860) which became the Temperance Lodge (Place No. 51) in 1863 when school closed. 468 out of 650 colonists who settled in Greenough & Northampton were Methodists.
